HEINZ-GLAS is suspending short-time working at its sites in Kleintettau and Teuschnitz

A positive sign for the company

Kleintettau. The HEINZ-GLAS Group is suspending short-time working at its German sites in Kleintettau and Teuschnitz with effect from 31 March 2026. This is due to an improvement in capacity utilisation, which will enable our company to return to normal working hours across all departments from 1 April 2026.

In recent months, HEINZ-GLAS had implemented short-time working to respond to a temporarily tight order situation. This measure proved to be an effective tool for bridging the economically challenging phase whilst safeguarding jobs.

“The decision to suspend short-time working is a positive signal for our company and our employees. It shows that our capacity utilisation has stabilised and we can once again look to the future with confidence,” said CEO and owner Carletta Heinz.

As a precautionary measure, the application submitted to the Employment Agency and the short-time working arrangement agreed with the works council will remain in place. This allows HEINZ-GLAS to retain the flexibility to react should the order situation deteriorate again.

“We are optimistic about the coming months and expect the positive trend to continue over the course of the year. This remains dependent on the joint commitment of all our employees,” explains Carletta Heinz.
