Kleintettau. HEINZ-GLAS officially launched its in-house HEINZ-GLAS ACADEMY with a kick-off event at the beginning of March. The new academy's motto is ‘KNOWLEDGE for ALL’ and it will bring together all of the company's training, further education and development programmes under one roof.
Carletta Heinz, CEO and owner of HEINZ-GLAS, welcomed numerous internal guests to the launch event and emphasised the importance of continuous training and knowledge exchange for the future of the company. A special highlight of the event was the presentation by Carl-August Heinz, shareholder and former managing director of the group of companies, who provided exciting insights into the rich history of glassmaking with his presentation ‘A journey through time in the history of glassmaking’.
In future, the HEINZ-GLAS ACADEMY will bring together all topics relating to training, qualification and personal development in a transparent and centralised manner.
Initially, the programme is aimed at employees in Germany, but the academy is expected to be expanded to the entire global group of companies in the future.
A central concern of the Academy is to make the extensive specialist knowledge within the company visible and accessible to all. Through structured knowledge management as well as internal training courses, lectures and formats with in-house experts, knowledge is secured, shared and specifically developed.
The HEINZ-GLAS ACADEMY comprises six dimensions: Global Academy, Training Academy, Qualification Academy, Trainee Academy, Talent Academy and Welcome Academy. Various learning worlds – including, for example, Technology & Glass, Leadership & Management, and Environment & Safety – help to clearly structure the different subject areas and provide orientation within the programme.
Many of the learning opportunities are available free of charge and on demand. These include on-the-job training, live tours, lectures and other practical learning formats.
With the HEINZ-GLAS ACADEMY, HEINZ-GLAS is strengthening a modern learning culture that connects employees across all areas. The aim is to shape the future of the company together – openly, digitally and with a wide range of opportunities for individual and joint development.
