Kleintettau/Munich. A total of 258 companies from all over Bavaria applied for the title of Bavaria's 20 most family-friendly companies. HEINZ-GLAS made it into the circle of award winners and was recently honoured in the ‘Erfolgreich.Familienfreundlich’ (Successful.Family-Friendly) competition by the Bavarian State Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Affairs and the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
The award ceremony took place in Munich and was presided over by Bavarian Minister of Labour Ulrike Scharf and Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger. ‘A family-friendly personnel policy has become the key to success for many Bavarian companies,’ according to a statement issued by the two ministries.
The ‘Erfolgreich.Familienfreundlich’ award recognises companies ‘that positively influence their economic success and the everyday lives of their employees through family-friendly measures’. The competition jury is made up of representatives from the ministries, academia, foundations and the Bavarian business community, who selected the winners from 30 nominees.
The competition, which took place for the fifth time this year, is part of the ‘Bavarian Family Pact’. This initiative was launched by the Bavarian state government in cooperation with the Bavarian business community to further improve the compatibility of family and career.
