A tremendous success for HEINZ-GLAS: At this year’s Luxepack New York in May 2026, we secured a place in the top 3 of the ‘Best Sustainable Product / Solution Design’ category from among 36 international entries. This award underscores that we are among the world’s leading companies when it comes to innovative and sustainable packaging solutions in the premium segment.
The award was given to our standard bottle “Primo – Sunset Edition”. This bottle exemplifies our commitment to consistently combining design, functionality, high quality and sustainability.
Sustainability meets premium design
The “Primo – Sunset Edition” combines several forward-thinking approaches:
- Reduced material usage: Weighing just 120 g, the bottle is around 45.7% lighter than the standard version – made possible by optimised wall thicknesses and a reduced glass base.
- Resource-efficient production: The glass is melted using 100% CO2-free electricity, with 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) glass.
- Circular design: Thanks to its screw cap, the bottle is refillable or can be dismantled for optimal separation and recycling of its components.
- Recyclable finish: Innovative translucent colour gradients and digital printing ensure a high-quality appearance whilst remaining fully compatible with existing recycling and sorting processes.

With its modern design and sustainable concept, the bottle is specifically aimed at premium and prestige brands, particularly target groups such as Gen Z, for whom sustainability and aesthetics are equally important.
